In artist Ron Lemen’s sublime Godzilla vs. Kincade, Godzilla
is clearly a visual metaphor for Amy Pinto-Walsh, Kinkade’s live-in girlfriend and
personal assistant.

Apparently the death of the famous “Painter of Light” (after a valium and alcohol
overdose) has pitted Kinkade’s wife, family and close friends against
Pinto-Walsh in a fight over his legacy and public image.
A restraining order alleges that Pinto-Walsh was privy to
information about how Kinkade created his paintings, including "the use of
computer technology" in painting.
"If these trade secrets were disclosed, the Kinkade
businesses would suffer irreparable harm," said the attorney for Kinkade’s
family.
No mention was made of Kinkade’s penchant for
marking his territory by urination, which hopefully will remain enshrined in
his golden oeuvre.
